Obituary: Clara C. Akers, 96, died Tuesday, January 21, 1969. She had been a guest at the Epworth Manor home in Tyrone for more than six years. She was born in East Providence Twp. March 6, 1872, the daughter of Cloea and Lois (Shaw) Conner. She was married to William C. Akers April 22, 1896 who died November 26, 1962.
Surviving are these sons: Elmer, R., Flint, Mich.; James A., Kalamazoo, Mich., and Lewis O., Bedford; one daughter, Mac, wife of Paul Bloom, Bedford. Also surviving are six grand-children, six great grand-children and a sister Mrs. Bertha Clabaugh of Everett.
Funeral services: Saturday, January 25 at 10 a.m. in the Epworth Manor Chapel, Tyrone. Burial in Everett Cemetery.
