Jesse Everett "Red" Creech Jr., of Russell, KY, died Wednesday at KDMC.

Mr. Creech was born in Ashland, to the late Everett and Marietta Dillow Creech. He was also preceded in death by a sister Irene "Reny" Creech Fosson of Bellefonte, KY.

He was retired general maintenance supervisor with ARMCO Steel, an army veteran of the Korean War, a member and former trustee of the ELKS 350, and a member of the First Christian Church Disiples of Christ of Ashland, KY.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years Mildred Gambill Creech, a son John Anthony Creech of Worthington, KY, two daughters Deborah Lynn Creech Daniel (Larry) of South Point, OH and Terri Lee Creech Kelley (Mike) of Ashland, KY. Three grandchildren Michael Dustin Kelley, John Brinton Creech and Brittany Denise Creech. Two sisters Pauline Creech Ramsey of Cannonsburg, KY and Betty Lucille Creech Bigham of Sacramento, CA.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 am Saturday at First Christian Church in Ashland KY by the Reverend Robert Bradley. Burial will be in the Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call on Friday from 6-9 pm at the Steen Funeral home Ashland Chapel and one hour before the ceremony at the First Christian Church. An ELKS service will be held at 7 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Christian Church Disiples of Christ building fund, 1930 Winchester Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101 or American cancer society PO Box 1182, Ashland, KY 41101-1182.
