Leonelle Wilson was the first son of Vera Lee Wilson and Loyal Vern Wilson. The family lived in Summit, Oregon, where his father worked driving logging truck. In December of 1927 he and his two younger brothers, G. LaDon and Marlo Wilson contacted Polio. He did not survive the disease and is laid to rest in the Summit Cemetary in Summit, Oregon. His brothers survived the disease. Leonelle was 6 years old at the time of his death.

NOTE: If you are planning to visit the Summit Cemetery it is a little tricky to find. From Blodget turn north onto 180 and go to Burtonwood Dr. turn right onto Burtonwood and immediately to your left is the cemetery, just up an incline. Cemetery is small but I found it amazingly well kept when I visited today (June 6, 2014).
