Pvt. Billie R. Magee Buried at Phalti
Funeral services for Pfc. Billie R. Magee, were held from Phalti Baptist Church at 11 A.M. Saturday with Dr. L. E. Green of Prentiss and Rev. L. M. Sharp of Williamsburg officiating. Interment was made in the church cemetery with the Prentiss Post of the American Legion in charge. Arrangements were in the hands of Aultman-Saulters Funeral Home.
Pall bearers were W. A. Holloway, Guy Magee, Tip Griffith, Shelton Stewart, Wayne Parish and Bill Polk.
Pfc. Magee was killed in combat in Germany in April 1944.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Magee; his wife, Mrs. R. G. Garner, and four children, Charlie, Billie, Reggie, Martha Jane and George Larry Magee, and a sister, Mrs. L. G. Thurman of California.
