William Tucker Jr., 79, a retired chauffeur, passed away Friday, June 18, 2010. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, June 26, at Strangers Rest Baptist Church. Interment: Lake Como Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at Ferguson Como Funeral Home. Wake: 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. William Tucker Jr. was born Jan. 2, 1931, in Lindale to William Tucker Sr. and Mattie Bostice Tucker. He moved to Fort Worth a year or two after his sister, Emma, came to Fort Worth in 1948. In Fort Worth "Willie" was a proud chauffeur. William gave life to Marilyn Marie Ethley and William Tucker III. William also found love in Shirley and Ruth. Survivors: Son, William Tucker III of Arlington; daughter, Marilyn Marie Ethley of Fort Worth; one brother; five sisters; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
