NEWPORT NEWS - James Edwin Wynne, 83, died Friday, July 1, 1994. Mr. Wynne was born in York County and had lived all of his life on the Peninsula. He was a member of North Riverside Baptist Church, Newport News. He was a ships master in the Merchant Marine during WWII. He retired from the C&O Railroad in 1975 after 25 years of service.
A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, July 3, at 3 p.m. in the Wynne Family Cemetery, Dare, with Dr. John Carpenter and Dr. R. Furman Kenney.
