William Roberts was born on Feb. 7, 1825 in Georgia to Willam and Nancy Tucker Roberts. The family moved to Irwin County. On September 23, 1852 William married Barbian Susan, called Susan, Williams in Irwin County. There they started their married life. They were blessed with 6 children, John G, my great grandfather, Jane nicknamed Jincey. Nancy, Richard C. nicknamed Long Dick, Stephen, Georgia Ann. William died at the young age of 46, He was a CSA veteran having served in Company H, 4th Georgia Cavalry. He passed away on July 12, 1871 and was laid to rest in the New Valley Grove Church Cemetery. William Roberts is my great-great grandfather. Joan Roberts Register
