The deceased was born in Natchitoches Parish September 1, 1873, and was a logging contractor for many years, and later was employed by the Department of Highways of Louisiana.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Gilcrease; three sons, John, Richard, and Noah, and one daughter, Mrs. Leona Frederick, all of Winnfield; two stepsons, Charlie Perot of Winnfield and Arthur Perot of Logansport, La.; three brothers, Steve and Andrew Gilcrease of Provencal, La., Russell Gilcrease, Epps, La.; and two sisters, Mrs. Ola Gottman and Mrs. George Conley, Provencal, La.
Acting as pallbearers were James Gilcrease, Troy Lee Frederick, J. C. Allen, J. W. Allen, Oree Allen, and Lawrence Speed.
