Born in Oakdale, Mr. Gilcrease had resided in Winn Parish most of his life and was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. He was a retired security guard.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Kelly Tingle and the Rev. Charles Haley officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Zeal Gilcrease; one half-brother, Charlie Perow of Winnfield; two brothers, John Gilcrease and Noah Gilcrease, both of Winnfield; one sister, Mrs. T. J. Frederick, Sr., of Winnfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included Troy Frederick, Leslie Frederick, Willie Frederick, Tommy Frederick, Floyd Frederick, and Earl Frederick, all nephews of the deceased.
