Funeral services for Mrs. Ann Haseltine Lowe will be held Thursday afternoon (today) at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. J.E. Byers officiating.
Mrs. Lowe, 87, died at her home here at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. She had been a resident of Clarendon since 1921. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Lowe enjoyed and cherished a multitude of friends. She was always interested in contributing to the happiness of others.
Mrs. Lowe, the former Miss Ann Langley, was born Nov. 14, 1867, in Clark County, Ark. She was married to W.T. Lowe in Pike County, Ark., in 1883. Mr. Lowe preceded her in death here May 31, 1942.
She is survived by four sons, Sam W. and Walter I., both of Clarendon, Fred H. Dallas, and Jesse H. Lowe, Lubbock; five daughters, Mrs. Lillie Farrar, Portales; Mrs. Minnie Thomason, Jackson, Tenn.; Mrs. Ruby Bowers, Port Arthur; Mrs. Thelma Broadway, Wichita Falls; and Mrs. Mary Brown, Adrian, Texas; 29 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons of Mrs. Lowe sill serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery with the Murphy Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
