~ Claud Richards ~
Services for Claud L. Richards, 76, of Route 4, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Roesch Funeral Chapel With the Rev. Kenneth, pastor of Midway Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in Dale Cemetery.
Mr. Richards died at 3:10 p.m. Thursday the 8th in a Shawnee Hospital.
Born Feb 27, 1896 in De Queen, Arkansas, he moved to Oklahoma in 1918 and settled in Idabell. For the past 36 years Mr. Richards had lived west of Shawnee. Prior to his retirement in 1963, he was a carpenter-contractor.
A son, Robert Richards, died June 3, 1971. Mr. Richards was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Ada B. Richards, of the home. Two sons, E.B. Richards, Route 4; N.H. Richards, Route 1, McLoud; four daughters, Mrs. Ola Childers, Route 4, Mrs. Marie Lane, Mrs. Betty Jean Long, both of Route 1, McLoud; Mrs. Helen Washburn, Route 5; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Naomi Richards, 107 S. Bryan; 25 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
