JACKSON - Nell Henderson Gardner, 86, formerly of Ripley, homemaker, died of respiratory failure Tuesday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ripley First United Methodist Church with burial in Maplewood Cemetery. Garner Funeral Home in Ripley has charge. She was a member of Jackson First Baptist Church. Mrs. Gardner, the wife of George P. Gardner Jr., leaves two stepsons, George P. Gardner III and John Gardner, both of Jackson; two sisters, Ruth Smith and Ella Mae Escue, and two brothers, Roland Henderson and Sam Henderson, all of Ripley.
