Harold Calame, 86, passed away Friday, June 18, 2010, in Kennedale. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Arlington. Interment will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Trinity United Methodist Chancel Choir, 3321 West Park Row, Arlington, Texas 76013 or Glen Lake United Methodist Church Camp and Retreat Center, 1102 NE Barnard St., P.O. Box 928, Glen Rose, Texas 76043.

Harold was born May 31, 1924, in Techuacana to Pearl and Benjamin Calame. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Harold graduated from East Texas State University with a bachelor of science degree in industrial arts. Harold worked for Texas Electric for 34 years before retiring as a senior customer service manager. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Serenity Inn for their compassionate care. Harold was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Pearl Calame, his sister, Chloe Delia Calame Welch, his brother, Cleo Lenard Calame, his sister Laura Faye Calame Palmer, his sister, Frances Nadine Calame Mezirka and his daughter, Lesa Gayle Calame Byerhoff.

Survivors: Wife, Bessie Lou Holt Calame; son, Craig Calame; grandson, Ben Byerhoff; his brother James Calame of Richardson, Texas, sister, Wylna Calame Putman of Prosper, Texas, LaRee Calame Coker of Mart, Texas and Freddie Calame Gibson of Edmond, Oklahoma.
