There was a footnote under the inscriptions for James and Marten Wright. "The father of James and Marten lived at the tavern farm of the village. He was son of Capt. Samuel Wright. Indian Scout, proprietors' clerk, selectman, assessor, justice, surveyor, landlord, deacon, Capt. of the militia, and leader in all affairs of the town.
