Andrew and his family left Tennessee and settled in Missouri in late 1870 or early 1871, they settled in Dallas County near the Township of Urbana in Lincoln. It has been stated that at one time Andrew had been a Justice of the Peace., but no proof has been found, most of his life he was a farmer.
Family tradition says that Andrew moved his family away from Tennessee after a murder in the Tadlock family, he then changed his name, this is just hearsay,it has not been documented, however he did change the name from Tadlock to Tedlock.
Andrew and his wife Elizabeth Bales had eleven children.
The picture is of their daughter Lydia Emaline Tedlock Redifer and her husband Jacob H. Redifer holding a picture of Andrew Nelson and Elizabeth Bales Tedlock.Daughter Margaret Isabell Tedlock stands at their grave.
The only child missing from the memorial is
Nancy Ann Tedlock 1861-1867.,in Jonesborough, Tennessee.
