William's mother was from New Jersey and his father from Massachusetts. He married Lydia Ann Bowen on 13 May 1856 in Huron County, and they had Amanda Lydia, Martina, William, John, Mary, James, Jane Jennie, Franklin, and Emma Elizabeth. Lydia died in 1879. FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR WILLIAM WALKER

Perrysburg, Dec 30. - Funeral services were held this morning for William Walker
who died at his home here early Monday following an illness with a complication
of diseases. Interment of the body was made in the Scotch Ridge cemetery. Mr.
Walker was eighty one years of age at the time of his death and had spent the
last forty years in Wood county. He was familiarly known in this community as
Yankee Walker.

He is survived by his wife and the following children. Mrs. Amanda Callin,
Fostoria; William R., and John B. Walker, of Sherwood, Mich.; Mrs. Nettie
Dennis, Coldwater, Mich.; James P. Walker, Gibsonburg; Mrs. Jane Budd,
Perrysburg; Frank W. Walker, Bowling Green; Mrs. Emma Kelley, Pemberville, and
Harold Walker, of Perrsyburg. A grandson, Martin Springstead, lives at Dowling.
