Funeral services for Mrs. Veva Lucille Alderson, 70, of Athens, were Jan. 1, 1995 at 2 p.m. at the Homer Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Rowe and Dr. Andy Prince officiating.
Burial was in Salem Cemetery near Athens.
Mrs. Alderson died Dec. 29 in Lewisville, Ark. She was a homemaker and member of Athens Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Theola Sims of Haynesville, Julia and Bill Boatner of Shreveport, Leta and Joe M. Lee of Shongaloo, Barbara and Buddy Sims of Bossier City, sisters, Vera Pompa of Barnesboro, Penn. and Wanda Green of Lewisville, Ark; three brothers, Kenneth Bailey of Inyokern, Calif., James Bailey of Zephryshills, Fla. and Larry Bailey of Wimberely, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Buddy Sims, Brian Sims, Joey Lee, Benjie Winn, Todd Spurlock and Jimmy Keller.
