Nelson V. Campbell 80, of Rochester died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Hospital.
He was born Jan. 21, 1910, in Rochester, the son of Everett and Emma L. Stone Campbell. He married Mildred Coe in 1936. Preceding him in death were a sister, Irene; five brothers, Lyman, Hugh, John Donald "Jack," Everett Jr. and Ray.
A lifelong resident of Rochester, Mr. Campbell was employed for 40 years by Illinois Bell Telephone Co. before his retirement in 1972 and was a livestock dealer for many years.
Mr. Campbell was a member of the Rochester Masonic Lodge 635 AF&AM. Surviving are his wife, Mildred; one daughter, Janet Cooper of Springfield; one sister, Mrs. Isabel Beck of Rochester; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
