Lucinda Crist
A graveside service for A. Lucinda "Cindy" Crist, 91, of Newark, Ohio, was conducted Friday at Zion Ridge Cemetery, Thornville, Ohio, with Pastor Mark Pierce officiating. Cindy died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Newark. She was born February 3, 1919, in Bartholomew County, the daughter of the late Everett and Fie Jeanie Thompson Taylor.

Cindy moved to Ohio following her marriage to Gail Richard Crist on September 20, 1947. She was employed with Cress Box, later St. Regis, as a tape operator and retired in 1980 after 31 years of service. Cindy was a 57-year member St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Newark, enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband and boating at both Dillon and Buckeye Lake State Parks and along the Ohio River. She also enjoyed going to breakfast with her friends.

She is survived by a son, Richard Lee (Beth) Crist of Newark, Ohio; a grandson, James Mitchell Crist of Newark, Ohio; a sister, Pauline Stanfield of North Vernon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gail Richard Crist, in 1996; brothers, John (Carol) Taylor and Harry (Mary Lou) Taylor; sisters, Mary (Clarence) Welch and Edna (Harold) Vaughn; and a brother-in-law, Robert Stanfield.
