He served as Justice of the Peace of District #4 in Scott County from 1914-1917. He died March 5, 1932. His funeral was held at the Minorsville Christian Church with burial in the Minorsville Cemetery. He and Sarah had 12 children.
After the death of Sarah, he married Mrs. Carrie Perkins.
