Staff Sergeant Allison was Assistant Engineer aboard U.S. Army Air Corps B-24E Liberator #41-29072. He was killed when the bomber struck Cheyenne Mountain, south of Colorado Springs, Colorado, while on a training flight from Pueblo Army Air Base. Nine other service members also perished.
With the 471st Bomb Group, 806th Bomb Squadron.

Names of Latest Bomber Victims are made public

The public relations office of the Pueblo air base announced Sunday the names of 10 officers and enlisted men killed in a crash of a heavy bomber on Cheyenne mountain near Colorado Springs.
The big plane from the Pueblo base burned after the crash late Friday Night, the air base announced.
The names of the victims were reported as:
Second Lt. William L. Vogt, Holyoke, Mass.
Second Lt. John W. Brancroft, Rochester, N.Y.
Second Lt. Kemper R. Campbell Jr., Victorville, Calif.
Second Lt. Elmer L. Skogsberg, Chicago.
Tech. Sgt. Charles C. Owings, McCormick, S.C.
Tech. Sgt. Paul M. Kruglick, Los Angeles.
Staff Sgt. Christian L. Poulson, Hollydale, Calif.
Staff Sgt. Travis V. Bowling, Claremore, Okla.
Staff Sgt. Razz A. Allison, Gaffney, S.C.
Sgt. Joseph E. Martin, Greenville, Miss
