Mrs. Wilma Kathleen Coleman Allen, 82 of Lake Butler died Monday morning at Woodlands Care Center in Gainesville after an extended illness. Mrs. Allen was born in Baker County and lived her early years in Lake Butler. She later lived in Jacksonville and Hialeah before moving back to Lake Butler in 1964. She was a homemaker. She was a Baptist. She was the daughter of the late Russell Coleman and Mamie Coleman Markham. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Allen, and a daughter, Rita Waters.

Mrs. Allen is survived by: 1 Daughter: Elaine Andrews of Lake Butler. 1 Son: Curtis E. (wife Renae) Allen of Lake Butler. 2 Sisters: Juanita Mikell of Branford and Malovene (husband Bob) Elrod of Dunnellon. 6 Grandchildren. 5 Great grandchildren. 1 Great, great grandson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler with Bro. Arthur 0. Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Dekle Cemetery in Lake Butler. Archer Funeral of Lake Butler is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at Archer Funeral Home on Thursday from 10A.M. to 11A.M. (just prior to the service).
