She was born in Rockingham County on June 17,1917, a daughter of Charles and Gretrude Shue Morris.She was preceded in death by her husband ,Walter Clarence Brown, on Feb 7,1971.
Also deceased are one son,Forrest,one brother, William Morris,one sister,Anna Carroll,a half sister,Edith Johnson, and two grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church at Fishersville.
Mrs.Brown was formerly a nurse's assistant at the District Home.She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary No. 1235 of the Moose Lodge and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary 4129 Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include one daughter,Mrs Warren (Joyce) Bryant of Waynesboro,two sons,Clarence (Gene) Brown of Waynesboro, and Clinton H. Brown of Staunton,two sisters, Mrs.Richard (Nellie) Gregory of Craigsville and Mrs.Eva Thomas of Staunton, and 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McDow Funeral Home conducted by the Revs. Allan Iassac Parr,Evers Mongold,Sam Ralston,C.T.Gums and Percy Bryant.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Moose and Eagles Lodges.
The Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Mc Dow Funeral Home.
