Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Jordan. The Rev. William McKeon will officiate with interment following at Calvary Cemetery, East Jordan.
Mr. Lord was born April 10, 1915, in Charlevoix, the son of Ervin and Pearl (Santos) Lord. He lived in the Charlevoix/East Jordan area all of his life.
On April 30, 1938, in East Jordan, he married Helen M. Ager and she survives.
Mr. Lord retired from the East Jordan Iron Works in 1975 after 24 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Jordan and the Holy Name Society. He coached little league in East Jordan for a few years and enjoyed hunting, fishing and baseball.
Survivors include his wife, Helen M. Lord of East Jordan; three sons and two daughter-in-laws, Terry and Pat Lord of East Jordan, Richard and Carol Lord of East Jordan, and Dale E. Lord of East Jordan; one daughter, Barbara A. Balch of East Jordan; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Charles E. Lord of Bellaire and Stanley (Stub) and Catherine Lord of Norwood; and three sisters and one brother-in-law, Frances Jolliffe of Norwood, Margaret and Gerald Derenzy of East Jordan and Ela Henegan of Monroe.
Friends may call from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. today, Aug 13, at the Paullin Funeral Home in East Jordan. A rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
