Rose Silberman, 86, of Regency Place, died at 11:05 a.m. Saturday in Regency Place Health Care Center. She was former owner of Super Auto Salvage in South Bend. She was born on June 7, 1900, in South Bend. She lived in the area all of her life. In 1935, in South Bend, as Rose Baim, she married Rubin Silberman. He died in 1959. Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie Bailer of Munster, Ind.; a son, Harold Silberman of South Bend; four grandchildren; three sisters, Sylvia Strauss and Florence Wedel, both of Mishawaka; Esther Scholnik [sic] of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a brother, Oscar Baim of South Bend. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive. Burial will be in the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery. She was a member of Hebrew Orthodox Congregation and B'nai Brith. Memorial contributions my be made to the Hebrew Orthodox Congregation.
