Mrs. Sarah A. Carpenter died Saturday, September 18, 1965, in Dixon Memorial Hospital. She was 81, a native of Hobart and resident of Livingston.

Survivors include four sons, Frederick Carpenter of Livingston, Donald Carpenter of Hammond, William Carpenter of Baton Rouge and Edward Carpenter of Walker; four daughters, Mrs. C.A. Efferson of Hammond, Mrs. John Green of Holden, Mrs. Rufus Severio of Livingston and Mrs. Johnnie Watts of Livingston; five sisters, Mrs. Charley Watts, Mrs. Will Hughes, Mrs. Zella Rheams and Mrs. Bill McDonald, all of Livingston, and Mrs. Tommy Kalsay of Batesville, Miss.; two brothers, Alex Broussard and Norman Broussard, both of Livingston; eight grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 43 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Livingston Methodist Church.
