FORMER RESIDENT OF CANADIAN AND FATHER OF J.C. KILLEBREW

Elias Pinkney Killebrew, former citizen of Canadian, Texas and father of J.C. Killebrew, died Friday afternoon, April 8, 1927 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.W. Norton at Waxahachie, Texas. He had been ill for some time.

Mr. Killebrew's death was two weeks before his ninety-third birthday. He was born in Western Tennessee on April 23, 1834. He moved to Missouri with his parents when 22 years of age and later settled near Cedar Hill, Dallas County.

In 1874, Mr. Killebrew moved to Ellis County. He moved to Canadian, Texas in 1906, and resided here for four or five years. He resided in Ellis County, however, the greater part off his life where he engaged in farming. He was a Veteran of the Confederate Army.

Surviving him are three sons and one daughter. Of the sons, Jack lives in Waxachie and the others are J.C. Killebrew of Canadian and J.L. Killebrew of Howard. The daughter who survives in Mrs. Norton, with whom he has made his home in recent years.
