Born Guglielmo Fabbro, son of Luigi and Angela (Mussio) Fabbro of Zoppola, brother of John and Anna.

William served his new country during the First World War in the Expeditionary Force, and was partially disabled as a result of a mustard gas attack. He gained his citizenship through his service.

William was married to Josephine Marie Moore at Columbus on October 18, 1922.

William was a long-time employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad.

They were the parents of four sons and two daughters.
