Melissa Henrietta V. ARNSDORFF was the daughter of
• John ARNSDORFF (son of John George ARNSDORFF & Hannah Elizabeth SHEAROUSE) &
• Sarah MORGAN (daughter of William MORGAN Sr & Sarah BAILEY).

Melissa first married
• John T. BOAEN (about 1824-1874) from South Carolina in 1865, and then
• Charles Alexander FURNS (1856-1890) in 1877.

Her parents and first husband are buried at the nearby Furns Cemetery; she is buried where she had buried her second husband and where some of her children are buried at Bethel Lutheran Church.


These memorials to members of the HODGES and related families of Effingham and Screven Counties are dedicated to William Clifford REEVES of North Carolina, who died in 2006, a dedicated and generous genealogist with whom I researched these families during 1999-2001.
