Forest City, NC - Alma Geneva Sawyer Coffey died on Monday, Oct. 20, 1980 at 10 p.m. Native of Madison County, NC and daughter of the late Jacob D. and Susan Matilda Crowe Sawyer. Widow of the Rev. Albert Tendall Coffey, Sr. Member of the Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church of Caroleen, NC and a retired textile employee. Survivors included: sons, Raymond M. Coffey, the Rev. James C. Coffey, William, Edward and Albert Tendall Coffey, Jr.; daughters, Mrs. Zenobia Allen, Mrs. Leila McFalls, MrsLucille Waters, Mrs. Edna Whitaker and Mrs. Martha Humphries; 23 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren. She was 87 years of age at his demise and interment was in the Caroleen Avondale Henrietta Cemetery.
