Tomás Antonio Yorba y Domínguez was born at Rancho Santa Ana, Alta California, México, and baptized at the Los Angeles Plaza Church three months later on Christmas Day December 25, 1847. He was the son of Bernardo Antonio Yorba y Grijalva and Felipa Domínguez y Sotelo.
