J. Frank Killian Sr., 79, retired schoolteacher

SHIPPENSBURG J. Frank Killian Sr., 79, of 103 Middle Spring Road died Saturday in Hershey Medical Center.

He was a retired teacher of the Lurgan Elementary School, Chambersburg Area School District, and a member of Newburg First Church of God, Franklin County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees and HUB City Club.

He was the widower of Sarah Sailhamer Killian. Surviving are two sons, J. Frank Killian Jr. of Shippensburg and Jesse A. of Fayetteville; two daughters, Jane L. Hoover of Ocean City, N.J., and Linda A. Brenize of Shippensburg; two brothers, Donald of Upper Strasburg and Robert of Shippensburg; two sisters, Ruth Shoap of Bedford and Catherine Uglow of Chambersburg; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in his church. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home.
