Doyle was married to Virginia (Fox) and father to Glendol, Dwight, Jerry, Geneva, Ralph, and Joella. He was Grandpa to Richard, Jason, Patrick, Gena, Tammy, Jaime, Peggy, Scott, and Kelly--they were the light of his life. He was a farmer, raising Aberdeen Angus Cattle and earning him the nick-name "Aberdeen" among the Triad High School athletes. He was also a bus driver for the Triad School district and loved to follow the basketball team. He died suddenly of a heart attack at age 67, having never recovered from Virginia's death.
