Nancy Sands was the daughter of Dominick and Angela Orlando Sands. Born in 1905 in Italy, Nancy came to the United States with her parents and brothers and sisters in 1909. They lived in Paterson, NJ.

She was the sister of Charles Sands (1895), James Sands (1900, Jack Sands (1897) Albert Sands (1906), Rose Sands Perrone (1901), Angela Sands Parmeli (1912),Mary Sands Meleta (1915).

Nancy married Louis Danello. The couple lived in Paterson, NJ but in later years moved to Fall River, Mass. until his death in 1974. Nancy moved to Hawthorne, NJ to be with her sisters. She was buried by the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home.
