Mrs. Katie Bridger, 78, Buried at Prospect
Services for Mrs. Katie Smith Bridger, 78, native of Chickasaw County, who died Sunday, Jan. 24, at The Houston Hospital after a three day illness, were conducted from the Prospect Church at 2 pm, Monday with the Rev. Flenoy Clark and the Rev. J A Lombard officiating.
Interment was in the Prospect Cemetery with Cook Funeral Home of Vardaman in charge. Pallbearers were Fred Barnette, Elkin Heair, Ellis Heair, J B Russell, Daird Smith and Joseph Smith.
The deceased was a member of the Church of God. She was the daughter of the late Ed Smith. She leaves a daughter, Miss Modess Bridger of Houston; a brother, Eugene Smith of Pontotoc, and a sister, Mrs. Maggie Heair.
Her parents are Edward Earl Allison and Susan Darcus Weaver Smith.
