Betty Louise Miller Ramsey passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Riverton Transitional Rehabilitation Center in Riverton, Utah.

She was born January 11, 1926 in Topeka, Kansas to Sylvia Ruth Montee Miller and Charles Robert Miller.

She is the proud wife of Earl Clayton Ramsey (deceased) and loving mother to Charles R. Ramsey and Beverley A. Ramsey (deceased). She leaves behind her son, seven grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Betty spent the last sixteen years residing in Virginia. Prior to that, she lived in Fairview, Utah after moving there with Earl in 1968. Before relocating to Utah, she and her family lived in and around Stockton, California.

Betty blessed the lives of those near and far with her many varied talents. Betty had no acquaintances... only friends. She kept in touch via calls and letters with people she had known since her childhood. She never forgot a birthday or missed an anniversary. Even as her sight failed her, she turned to those around her to make sure nobody's special day was forgotten. She wrote letters to, and encouraged countless missionaries to work hard and rely on the Lord. Betty was also very invested in her community and helped facilitate the building of the hospital in Mount Pleasant, Utah.

She was a reporter for The Pyramid newspaper. She also ran for various local and state offices. Her talents include: playing the piano and organ, quilting, gardening and canning, teaching seminary and Gospel Doctrine, research and genealogy, and writing her auto-biography, as well as her family members' biographies. Countless years' worth of information and photos are preserved because of her diligence and dedication. Doubtlessly, her reunion with her ancestors was a celebratory one. She will be missed. Now free of a broken earthly body, she will be unstoppable! She set an incredible example to family and friends of working hard, pursuing your dreams, enduring to the end, and relying on Heavenly Father to show her the way.

A viewing will be held Saturday, June 5th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the LDS building at 122 South State Street in Fairview, Utah. Funeral Aervices will begin at 11:00 a.m. and interment will follow immediately afterward in the Fairview City Cemetery.
