Funeral services for Earl Beck, 66, Woodward, Oklahoma resident, were held ion the Garden Chapel of Good Samaritan Funeral Service. The Rev. Jack Thompson officiated. Graveside services were in the Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian.

Emmitt Earl Beck was born September 6, 1934 in Allison to Wesley and Opal (Wilkinson) Beck. He grew up in Canadian and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was married to Margaret Latham and was the father of four daughters.

Earl became a police officer, serving in several communities including Canadian, Texas and Shattuck, Laverne, OARC during the final years of his life.

Earl, known as Grandpa Earl to many people, died in his sleep November 25, 2000 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Alex.

He is survived by four daughters and their husbands, Earline and Dennis Wall of Spring; Oleta and Alford Poole of Turkey Creek, Louisiana; Sylvia and Ray Price of Canadian, and Kathy and Donnie Jones of Shattuck, Oklahoma; a son, James Beck of Shattuck, Oklahoma; three brothers, Billie Beck of Pryor, Oklahoma; Floyd Beck of Stinnett, and Carl Beck of Wilson, Oklahoma; two sisters, Patricia Guffey of Enid, Oklahoma and Francis Flowers of Ardmore, Oklahoma; 21 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and very close friends Sonny and Carol Summerall and their children.
