MRS BARNES PASSES AWAY
Member of Pioneer County Family

Mrs. Jennie W. Barnes, age 75, member of one of Bloomington's pioneer families, died Friday afternoon at the Indianapolis Home for Aged Women after an illness of three weeks.

Mrs. Barnes was the daughter of Wilson and Jane Adams, and the wife of Woodson L. Barnes, deceased. Her father was elected sheriff of Monroe County in 1892 and served two terms. He was a brick building contractor. He was a veteran of the Civil War. During the residence of Mrs. Barnes in this city, she was active in the work of the patriotic organizations. She had been living away from here several years but was here recently on a visit.

Survivors are four nieces, Mrs. Ada Perry, Mrs. Lena Moore and Mrs. Nina Moore, and one nephew, Harry Raley.

Funeral services will be held at the home, 1731 North Capital Avenue, Indianapolis, at 9:30 AM Monday. The body will be brought here for burial in Rose Hill Cemetery at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon.
