Willie Habrel, age 14, of near Tours was fatally injured last Saturday when a mule on which he was riding became scared at the approach of a car and jumped in front of the vehicle. Young Habrel was carried to a Waco hospital where he died at 10:50 p.m. that night.
Willie was riding near the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Habrel, when an automobile approached along the road. Despite the boy's efforts to control the animal, the car struck it and hurled the youth to the ground, inflicting what proved to be fatal injuries.
The boy was 14 years, 10 months and 27 days of age. He was a student in Tours School.
