Obituary:

Mrs. Israel Jenkins Dead.

Mrs. Martha Jane Jenkins age 52 years, died November 14th at the family residence near Collinsville, after a short illness of two days. She was born in Springfield, Mo., in 1866 and moved from there to Arkansas where she was married to Israel Jenkins and later moved to Texas.
Funeral services were conduced by Rev. Charles Cox at the Collinsville cemetery and interment immediately followed. She is survived by her husband, three daughters and three sons as follows: Mrs. Edna Ridinger, Misses Fannie and Vera Jenkins, Vertie, Earnest and Marvin Jenkins.

Grave is mid-east in the cemetery. There is a marker. Martha Jane Roberts Jenkins was the daughter of Zephaniah & Martha A. Webb Roberts. Martha Jane Roberts and Benjamin Israel Jenkins were married in Arkansas on 28 Feb 1895.

Martha Jane Roberts, R1553, daughter of Zephaniah and Martha (Webb) Roberts, was born 9 Jun 1866 in Bellefonte, Boone County, Arkansas, and died 14 Nov 1919 in Grayson County, Texas. She is buried in Collinsville Cemetery, Collinsville, Grayson County, Texas. She and Israel had seven children:

1. Vertie Zephaniah Jenkins, R15531, was born 13 Jan 1896 in Bellefonte, Boone County, Arkansas.
2. Edna Victoria Jenkins, R15532, was born 20 Apr 1897 in Bowie County, Texas.
3. John Thomas Jenkins was born 20 Apr 1897 in Bowie County, Texas, and died 23 Sep 1898. He is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Bowie County, Texas.
4. Frances Malinda Jenkins, R15534, was born 15 Sep 1899 in Bowie County, Texas.
5. William Ernest Jenkins was born 10 Aug 1901 in Grayson County, Texas, and died 30 Apr 1948 in Wichita County, Texas. He is buried in Collinsville Cemetery in Grayson County, Texas.
6. Marvin Israel Jenkins, R15536, was born 3 Jun 1903 in Grayson County, Texas.
7. Vera Jane Jenkins, R15537, was born 16 Nov 1907 in Grayson County, Texas.
