Catherine (Doyle) Maynard, 92, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (May 26, 2010) at Vernon Manor in Vernon.
Born in Hartford on April 15, 1918, she had lived in Hartford for most of her life before moving to East Hartford twelve years ago.
Catherine graduated from Weaver High School and retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in 1981. She volunteered for the Red Cross for twenty-five years, and for St. Rose Church food pantry and cared for ironed altar linens.
She leaves a daughter, Heather Kaiser and her husband, Joe of South Windsor; a grandson, Vincent Spera II and his wife, Alexandra and their children, Sophia and Gabriel and her granddaughter, Melissa Spera; a brother, Thomas Doyle and his wife, Lucille and their children of Ft. Meyers, FL and a very special Goddaughter, Monica Reilly. She was predeceased by her sister, Rosemary D. Reilly.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (June 25, 2010) in St. Rose Church, 33 Church Street, East Hartford.
Burial will be private in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
