While living in Longworth, he met and married Odessa Barker. They came to Angelina Co. when the family moved back to Lufkin in 1939. Bob and Odessa had three children, Bobbie Leon, Carmelita and Yewing Stanley.
He was the son of Henry Columbus Andrews and Sarah Margaret (Breazeale) Allen.
