CRIDERSVILLE - Mrs. Lula Mae Cowan, 76, of near Cridersville, died at 11:50 a. m. Wednesday in the Hay Rest Home, Wapakoneta, following an illness of 3 years. She was born April 1, 1880 in Wichita, Kans., and had spent most of her life in Auglaize County. She was a member of the Auglaize Chapel Church, southeast of here. Her husband, John Cowan, died Feb. 28, 1951. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Roy Howell, Route 4, Wapakoneta, and Mrs. William Bartley, Route 2, Springfield; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Elbert Burden, Wapakoneta; and two sisters, Mrs. Ella Fogt, Piqua, and Mrs. Stella Miller, Los Angeles, Calif. Services will be at 2 p. m. Saturday in the Bayliff Funeral Home, here, Rev. M. C. Macklin officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery. The body will remain in the funeral home until after services.
