Well-Known Stark County Practitioner Expires at Son's Home Last Eve

HAS BEEN AILING FOR THREE WEEKS

 Funeral Service Will be Held at Former Home Tomorrow Afternoon.

 Dr. James Culbertson, widely known through Stark County, for many years a practicing physician and druggist of Toulon, died at his son's home two miles north of Kewanee last night, May 9, 1910. His remains are being taken to Toulon today and the funeral service will he held there tomorrow afternoon. He was in his 79th year.

Ailing for Three Weeks.

For the last three years Dr. Culbertson had been making his home with his son Victor S. Culbertson, who farms near this city. About three weeks ago, he was taken ill and it was evident that his old age was against his recovery. During the illness it was noticed that his decline was gradual from day to day.

Well Known in Stark County.

In Toulon and all the surrounding towns in Stark County Dr. Culbertson had an extensive acquaintance. He studied medicine at an early age and began practice in that section. In later years he conducted a drug store.

He is survived by two daughters and two sons, as follows: Mrs. Mattie Rouse of Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Mary Bell of Keokuk, Iowa, John Culbertson of Toulon and Victor S. Culbertson, who resides near Kewanee.

In his earlier life Dr. Culbertson belonged to the Masonic order and also to the Methodist church.

The funeral service which will be held in Toulon tomorrow will take place at the home of his son John Culbertson at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Toulon.
