Born Austria-Hungary, probably in the town of Mramorak, Hungary in the historic Banat region (now located in Serbia, east of Belgrade). Daughter of Adam Kaschuba (b. 27 Jan 1848) and Katharina Christina Bert (b. 15 Jan. 1850). Maiden name also given to be Gaschuber. Believed to have arrived in America 25 Feb. 1901 on the ship "Bonn", Breman to Baltimore, along with her brother, Frederick Kaschuba. Fred moved on to Mansfield, Ohio while Elizabeth remained in Baltimore, Maryland for the rest of her life. She was married to Charles (also called Karl) Gramlich 2 Feb. 1902 in Baltimore, and they were the parents of 5 known children. She died in childbirth (that child did not survive).
