Services for Heber Andrew Britt, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at Red Star Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Mr. Britt, 86, died Dec. 4, 2009, at his residence. He was born in Lincoln County on May 31, 1923, to Nathan A. Britt and Sarah Falvey Britt.
He was a farmer. He served as Lincoln County District Five Supervisor for three terms. He was a member of Red Star Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his sisters, Eunice Smith, Winnie V. Hurst and Arcola Brady; and his brothers, Edward Britt and Hiram Britt.
Survivors are his wife, Frances Brewer Britt, of Brookhaven; his sons, Bruce A. Britt and Darrell Britt, both of Brookhaven; his daughter, Jennifer King, of Brookhaven; his sister, Dorothy Hamrick, of Brookhaven; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
