DAVIS--In Longmont, Colo., Thursday, Nov 18, 1897, of paralysis, George Davis, aged 80 years.
The funeral was held at the Congregational church Saturday morning, the interment at the Highlandlake cemetery. Mr. Davis was born in New Ipswich, Mass. Oct 16, 1817, and was married in Reading Mass., January 16, 1845, to Mary Holden Parker, who departed this life in August. He leaves three children, Charles Davis of Loveland, George MN. of this city and Mrs. Maxwell of Boulder. He came to Longmont in 1863, and has resided in this vicinity ever since. He has always been an active member of the Congregational church, a man of the strictest integrity and purest Christian character.
