Lizzie was born in Green Twp, Ohio to Nicholas Kuntz & Hannah Muller; She married Robert Ashley on Nov. 30, 1879 at St Aloysius Gonzaga Church, Bridgetown. They had three children together. At some time, they separated and possibly divorced.

Per OH DC 37121 for year 1948:
Daughter of Nicholas Kuntz & Hannah (Unknown); both born in Germany; Wife of the late Robert Ashley; cause of death: vascular sclerosis due to age. Other conditions: acute sclerotic myocarditis for 6 months). Informant was Mrs. Adelaide Doyle (daughter).
