William was son of Nicholas & Jeanette (Muller) Kuntz. He was born in Green Township, Hamilton County, Ohio. He married Anna Steckel on May 12, 1881 at St Aloysius Gonzaga Church on Bridgetown Road. He had 11 children with wife Anna before she died at age 39 years . He remarried in November 5, 1902 to the widowed Elizabeth Retert nee Zuck. No children were born to this union.

William was an undertaker by profession. He was the undertaker for several members of his immediate family.

WILLIAM KUNTZ
William Kuntz, funeral director more than 55 years, died Monday at his home, 2730 Colerain Ave, after a long illness. He was 85, and a lifelong resident of Camp Washington. He operated the funeral home from his residence.
Born in Delhi, Green Township, Mr Kuntz had been a member of Sacred Heart Church for more than 60 years. He was also a member of St. Aloysius Orphan Society, the Men's Society of Sacred Heart Church, Catholic Knights of Ohio Branch 34, and the National & Ohio Funeral Directors Association.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Kuntz; two daughters: Mrs Rose Hauser, Covington & Mrs Anna Blum, Cincinnati; a son, Otto C.Kuntz, Cincinnati; a sister, Mrs Elizabeth Ashley, Cincinnnati; and several grandchildren, two of whom are in the Army-Vernon Hauser, Fort Thomas and Carl Kuntz, Camp Chaffee, Ark.
