In the early 80's he had his first of several amputies on his legs because of harding of arteries. He had several college degrees for computer technology, horology "Jewelery study". In 1994 he became involved with the A.W.B.A the American Wheelchair Bowling Association. In his first year he brought home the national title in Las Vegas Nevada. He won many tournaments in singles, doubles and triple competions. He won the triple competion at the national tournament three years in a row. "94-96" Also won doubles in 94 at the national tournament. He bowled in many cities across the country. He became president of a up and down league in longview texas which was renamed after him following his death.
