He was married four times the third being my mother. He had three daughters and one son. He had one daughter with his first wife and one daughter with his second wife and had one daughter and one son with his third wife. In the early 80's he had his first of several amputies on his legs because of harding of arteries. He had several college degrees for computer technology, horology "Jewelery study". In 1994 he became involved with the A.W.B.A the American Wheelchair Bowling Association. In his first year he brought home the national title in Las Vegas Nevada. He won many tournaments in singles, doubles and triple competions. He won the triple competion at the national tournament three years in a row. "94-96" Also won doubles in 94 at the national tournament. He bowled in many cities across the country. He became president of a up and down league in longview texas which was renamed after him following his death.

Darl Arrant, 52, of Gilmer passed away January 30, 2000 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grubbs-Lloyd Funeral Home in Diana with a graveside service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lewis Chapel Cemetery near Kirbyville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. A native of Houston and a former resident of Beaumont, he lived in Gilmer, was a horologist and a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his son, Keithan Arrant of Diana; daughter, Wendy Boroughs of Lone Star; twin brother, Earl Arrant of Orange; sisters, Bessie McNeely of Brookeland, Vennie Jones of Beaumont and Doris Shaver of Woodville; and two grandchildren
